Parade Photos:

Everyone who saw it agreed, the parade was a major success.  The Crosby VFW Color Guard lead off with a special presentation of plaques to three Ambrose families in honor of Sam Sortland, Loren Torkelson and Al Lewis who were all prisoners of war.

The Color Guard was followed by antique and classic cars, trucks, tractors, kids, clowns, military vehicles, and a variety of home-made floats.  Of particular note was the Golden Days float conceived and created by the Ness family.  If prizes had been awarded, this float would have taken the blue-ribbon.

Thank you to everyone who participated. A special thank you to the Canadians who brought their amazing vintage vehicles down from Saskatchewan.  And another thank you to Butch Haugland for doing a great job of announcing.

There were so many it is impossible to show them all.
Sincerest apologies if you were left out.

Centennial Trail Ride:

The three day trail ride began on Thursday, July 6 and ended with the parade on Saturday, July 8.

Antique Quilt Display:

The antique quilt exhibit, assembled by Joy Miller Schlarb with help from cousin Karen Miller Proft, was a highlight for visiting quilters.  The Ambrose Fire Hall provided the venue for fourteen vintage quilts brought in from the local area and from around the country.  These were arranged on old wooden drying racks, the kind your grandmother had out in the laundry room.

Each quilt has its own unique story and is treasured by its owner.  Thank you all for sharing your treasures:
