Family History - Walter & Lois Lee Aaberg

Walter Aaberg and Lois Lee were married in 1947 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Crosby.

Walter attended Lee School and Ambrose High School. Lois graduated from Ambrose High School, was confirmed at Ambrose Lutheran Church and worked in the abstract office in Crosby for two and a half years.

We have lived on the homestead of Walter's mother for 25 years. We didn't have REA or telephone and had to carry our water.

In 1963 we built a new home and in 1971 added a new Quonset building to the farm.

We celebrated our silver wedding in East Writing Rock Lutheran Church in 1972.

We have driven school bus for 4 years, besides grain farming and raising cattle.

We are the parents of five children:

Sharon, now Mrs. Gerald Peterson of Minneapolis where she is a secretary at National Car Rental.  Gerald is a draftsman at Rosemont Mfg. Co.
Dianne
, Mrs. Charles Erickson, is employed as a secretary at Garrison School.  Charles is employed at Farmers Union Elevator.
Susan
is a freshman at Divide County High School,
Darla
is a fifth grader and Warren a first grader at Fortuna Grade School.

We are members of East Writing Rock Lutheran Church.
